The challenge
Who they are and what they needed
Vasundhara Diamond Roof has made jewellery since 1997. Founder Vasundhara Kasaraneni built the brand on custom design, careful gem selection and a boutique experience, and her sister Neha joined the design team in 2001. Today the brand has showrooms in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
The brand already ran jewellery purchase plans through its showrooms. It wanted Digital Gold and Digital Gift Card features, and neither existed before this project.
Digital gold on its own is just a number in a wallet. Vasundhara needed gold bought in its own app to come back to its own counters as jewellery, with the same care customers get in a Vasundhara showroom.

There was no way to send a considered gift of gold or jewellery digitally, on the brand's own terms.

For Vasundhara, every decision started from the showroom counter: gold and gift cards bought in the app had to come back to the brand as jewellery.

Map App to Counter
The product is built around the end of the journey: a customer at a Vasundhara boutique choosing a piece. Every gram of digital gold and every gift card balance in the app can be applied in store.

Design for Trust
The app carries the brand's dark green and gold look, clear balances, a visible live price, and a full record of every transaction, down to a downloadable invoice.

One React Native codebase on a NestJS backend, so iOS and Android ship together.

Customers visit a Vasundhara boutique and apply their digital gold balance toward a jewellery purchase. Gift cards can be applied in store the same way.
In Vasundhara's case: a live gold rate with a price lock, a wallet showing gold and cash balances, in-store redemption, gift cards, a full transaction history with invoices, and PAN verification on high-value purchases. Behind it sit an admin panel, a payments integration and the gold partner integration.
The app shows the current gold rate per gram with a countdown showing how long that rate holds. When the timer runs out, the rate refreshes, so customers always see a current price before they buy.
For Vasundhara, Bluelupin chose cross-platform: one React Native codebase for both iOS and Android, backed by a NestJS server and Cashfree payments.
